Lazy Eye Field Trip

Our next meeting will be an exciting excursion to the landmark Orpheum Theatre in downtown LA to watch the noir classic Chinatown (1974). You will need to buy your own tickets in advance ($18 each) from the LA Conservancy's Last Remaining Seats. Screening is Wednesday, June 21st. It may sell out, so don't wait until the last minute. After the movie, we hope to continue our tradition of scintillating discussion, this time at The Prince in Koreatown, where one of the scenes of the movie was filmed.

For the curious few, here are other movies that were suggested by our members:

A.L. (westside): Chinatown (our next selection), Taxi Driver, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

K.D.: Lady from Shanghai, Wild Style, The Great Escape

Pepelicula: Battle of Algiers, Los Olvidados, Guelwaar

S.P.: Tootsie, Ghostbusters, City of God

J.J.: Lion in Winter, Big Night, Short Cuts

L.K.: Pride and Prejudice, Squid and the Whale, Fight Club

E: Primer, Magnolia, Short Cuts
